ABOUT

It's just part of the neighbourhood series for Stittsville. A landmark you can't miss as you drive towards Main Street, and, does it even still hold water. If not, that's a lot of scrap metal. A quick google search says it's still in use, keeping water pressure up in Stittsville. These are relics of the 40s/50s/60s and when a distant suburb like Stittsville is dominated by newer developments and large homes, this UFO shaped on sticks landmark retains it's modest yet oh so critical role. It's vintage so deserves it's B&W depiction and may go with the other Stittsville series pics that defy the modernism that has followed. Because of the challenge with exposure on this one, with the bright sky and the tower shadows, I used exposure bracketing and then merged later in post. That evened things out, and, I was able to adjust contrast using curves.
