It's where I swim, and have been swimming for many years. Centretown. It's also a pool my Mom was taken too in the late 30s and 40s as a child. Nearby is Plouffe park, which remains to this day despite the development to come. Originally, you had to go upstairs to change, then down some sketchy stairs to the pool itself, darkly lit. The old pool is now filled in and this area is now the multi-use gym-like room where they host yoga, dance, and Ken-do. The new pool is amazing and light filled. But from the outside, this black and white image shows the pool as more less it always was, even back in the 30s/40s.
