Maybe not a day for SUP paddling on Shirley's Bay, but soon ... this is your classic foreground rocks with background far shore. I didn't realize until later that this was shot at f4, a fairly open aperature but the background held reasonable detail. A cold May (long weekend) day at 10c, and strong winds helped the mood of this pic. I'll be back for more foul weather Shirley's Bay shots. Taken just at the set of rocks that line the boat launch.

Go: Shirley's Bay Parking area where many people in Kanata go to paddle or picnic in summer. Follow Rifle Road down off Carling, to the parking lot by the river.
