I love the Ashton Pub, especially the addition creek side filled with country oddities and collectibles. And the beer is so good. In this pic, you see the newer addition where the brewing is done in the large tanks inside. However looking down the photo in the background, is the original grist mill which is now the famed Ashton pub. Inside, you will feel the authentic elements of a British pub, hundreds of years old, as this mill actually is 190 years old as of 2025. Lots of Canadiana, vintage farm tools, militaria posters from Canadian units, collectibles, and, very good beer. There is a black and white "version" below where I took a picture from the creek (the mighty Jock River) as you don't always see much of it.

Go: Get to Ashton, Ontario. One can take the 417 from Ottawa, but I suggest instead wind through the country side roads out of Stittsville.
