Ashton Creek and Pub

ABOUT

I love the Ashton Pub, especially the addition creek side filled with country oddities and collectibles. And the beer is so good. But I had never gone down to the creek to get a glimpse of the pub from that angle, until now. It's an old mill, now thriving again thanks to the lunch crowd on any given day. While the shrubbery blocks any view of the pub itself, there are a few hints peeking over the bush, along with one of churches in town. If you haven't been to the Ashton pub, it's probably the closest you'll find to an English Countryside Pub. And that's why this picture fits, I leave it to your imagination and how pleasantly surprised you will be on your visit. Roosters out front, a bubbling creek, an old village, and this pub -- I think there may be hobbits living in the fields nearby.

Near: 113 Old Mill Rd, Ashton, Ontario , Ottawa (WestCarleton)

Go: Get to Ashton, Ontario. One can take the 417 from Ottawa, but I suggest instead wind through the country side roads out of Stittsville.
